Class II Open Bite

Treatment of Class II skeletal open bite is a challenge even to experts, because 1) it is hard to decide which treatment modality will be applied and 2) they have various kinds of causes like TMD, mouth breathing and tongue thrusting. Stability of treatment results is also our concern.

Class II skeletal open bite cases can be treated by orthognathic surgery and/or orthodontic treatment with extrusion of anterior teeth or intrusion of posterior teeth
